Description
The colors of the areas of the brain don’t mean anything. I was having fun painting the human brain - the most amazing organ ever. Your brain is the same as everyone else’s brain in form and function. What makes it unique is what happens to you and what you learn. Here are some fun facts about the brain that make you who you are.
• The human brain weighs about three pounds and is about 75% water. So, even mild dehydration can cause problems with brain functioning.
• It is a myth that you only use 10% of your brain. You use all of it. Even when you are sleeping, you use more than 10% of your brain.
• Your brain interprets pain signals sent to it by the body, but the brain does not feel pain.
• Everything you see, think or do is processed in the brain by a network of 100 billion neurons. Information can travel through the brain at speeds as high as 250 miles per hour.
• Your brain is constantly reorganizing itself. It adapts to change, whether it’s physical or through life experience.
Speaking of brains, riddle me this…
Q. What part of the brain is in a computer?
A. The letter “r”.
Useless Fact…
The sperm whale has the largest brain of any animal It weighs 20 pounds.
Consider this…
"Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.” ~ Grandma (Anna Mary Robertson) Moses, Artist
Be Kind…
