Description
I am fascinated with outer space, especially nebulas. The Carina Nebula is about 8,500 light-years from earth and massive in size. Nebulas are giant clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium and other gases. These colors are caused by ultraviolet radiation striking the helium, hydrogen and other gases in the nebula. Enough of the science lesson. I may be an artist but I am also a nerd. The shapes of the nebulas also intrigue me. Hence the painting. Think of nebulas as intergalactic abstract art.
