The word argyle (sometimes spelled Argyll) refers to the tartan or patterned cloth of Clan Campbell of Argyll in western Scotland or a design of diamonds or “losonges” (diamond shapes). Like the traditional Argyle pattern, there are spaces between the diamonds in my painting although they are not a big as usual, Plus, I did not add diagonal lines that cross the diamonds. Hence “Essence of Argyle.”
Speaking of diamonds, riddle me this…
