Yerevan is the capitol city of Armenia and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. The city’s history dates back to 782 BC, with the founding of the fortress of Erebuni by King Argishti I . The city was a center for trade and was occupied by many groups, including the Romans, Parthians, Arabs, Mongols, Turks, Persians, Georgians, and Russians. Yerevan is 29 years older than the city or Rome.
Today, the city is home to about 1.1 million people, and it cover an area of 223 square kilometers (86 square miles). Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Yerevan became the capitol of the Republic of Armenia.
Fun Facts About Yerevan

• There is a metro in Yerevan. It has only one line and a dozen stations.
• The city has about 300 sunny days a year, which is what you would find on the coast of Spain.

I am an artist, writer, student of life, and irredeemable nerd. I came to painting rather late in life and I love it. It feeds my soul like nothing else. I am addicted to bright, pure color as you see in my paintings. My art coach is working with me to break that addiction. Thank you for taking your time to look at my work. I hope you enjoy it.
