Artist's Description
This is a monkey flower because it looks like a grinning monkey. I painted it because it was yellow and cheerful. It made me smile. These flowers can be eaten if cooked and Native Americans used the roots and flowers to treat scrapes and burns because the plant contains compounds that kill bacteria and prevent infections. I apologize, my inner nerd escaped.
