We all face barriers in our lives. For many people, cultural and economic barriers challenge them every day. But, with help from those around us, we can break down these barriers.
When I was a child, I had a very hard time learning to read. In fact, when I was 12 years old, one of my teachers told me that I was too dumb to graduate from high school. At age 14, my geography teacher took an interest in me and helped me with my reading after school. That personal help made a big difference. And, through it all my mother was there helping me and telling me that I was, in fact, a smart girl and could do anything I wanted.

Novelist Paulo Coehlo "Culture makes people understand each other better. And if they understand each other better in their soul, it is easier to overcome the economic and political barriers. But first they have to understand that their neighbour is, in the end, just like them, with the same problems, the same questions.

I am an artist, writer, student of life, and irredeemable nerd. I came to painting rather late in life and I love it. It feeds my soul like nothing else. I am addicted to bright, pure color as you see in my paintings. My art coach is working with me to break that addiction. Thank you for taking your time to look at my work. I hope you enjoy it.
