Description
I painted this in 2019 and don’t remember what inspired me or what I was thinking at the time. Thus, it is “A Painting No Name.” This reminds me of the song “A Horse with No Name” by the group America. Here are the first verse and chorus lyrics:
“On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert on a with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain”
According to Dewey Bunnell, who wrote the song, the "horse" represents a means of entering a place of tranquility, and this tranquil place was best represented by the desert, (Source: SongFacts.com)
So, I guess the name of this painting is Tranquility.
The question of the day is: How do you “enter a place of tranquility?” I have a few ways, I meditate; listen to soft classical music; go for an early morning bike ride; or walk with my do.
Speaking of horses
Riddle Me This…
Q. What’s the difference between a horse and a duck?
A. One goes quick and the other goes quack.
Consider This…
Humor is emotional chaos remembered in tranquility. James Thurber
